Decemeber Donation Giving Back

 Dear Parents, Faculty and Students,

                For the month of December we are giving back at Planet Abacus. Each grade will be assigned a specific item that we will donate to a local nursing home. We will be collecting these items starting the week of December 2, 2013 until Monday December 16, 2013. Here is the list of grades and items assigned.

Kindergarten-tissues

1st Grade- Calendars (wall calendars, cheerful and bright) 

2nd Grade-Lotion (sensitive skin friendly)

3rd Grade-Jewelry (Necklaces, stretchy and long & bracelets stretchy) 

4th Grade-socks (warm and Long)

5th Grade- Crossword Puzzles (large print)

6th Grade- Warm caps or beanies for men and women

7th Grade-combs/brushes

8th Grade- small lap blankets

Most of these things can be found at dollar stores in the area. The residents will love these special things you pick out for them. Thank you so much for your support!

Fall Festival Turnout and Pie orders

The Fall Festival was a great time. Many families came out and had a great time. We had 4 raffel baskets

 they was  a lottery basket,wine basket, Thanksgiving basket, and movie basket. There were games, hot

dogs, chips, and candy. Fun was had by all!!!!!

We have our first PAPA meeting coming up on thursday September 26, 2013 at 6:00 at school. Parents have been picked for each classroom. So excited for this year. Box Top bulletin board is up so the race is on!!! 

Welcome Back

Welcome back Teachers,Parents and Faculty. We are excited for a new school year. We have so many ideas for the year to make this a great one!!!! Volunteer flyer will go home today. Please fill it out and return by Friday September 13, 2013 if you wish to represent your child's classroom and join the PAPA!!! We will hold monthly meetings and various events throughout the year. Mums were planted yesterday by the PAPA. Let's have a great year!!!
